FAQs
How long have you been in business?
We’ve installed poured-in-place rubber coatings in Southwest Florida since 2005 -- that’s now over 21 years. We have no side offerings, no recent pivots. Just two decades of focused experience in one of the harshest UV environments in the country.
What makes Resilion™ different from other rubberized surfaces?
Every rubber surface supplier claims to offer the best product. We're not suppliers — we're installers, which means we're also customers. We don't accept hollow claims any more than you do.
What we trust is long-term performance in Florida's actual conditions: extreme UV, humidity, chlorine, and humidity/mold risk. Most rubber products and installers are relatively new to this market, riding the wave of growing demand without the track record to back it up. We've been testing and installing products side-by-side for over two decades, and Resilion™ has earned its place as our clear choice — not on paper, but on aged reference projects you can visit in person.
The results speak for themselves: a 25-year expected residential lifespan, half to a third the maintenance of competing systems, minimal color fade under intense UV exposure, and heavy bleach compatibility for easy cleaning.
What types of projects do you install?
We install Resilion™ for residential and commercial pool decks, patios, atriums, boat docks, walkways, catwalks, splash pads, and balconies.
For interior safety applications — particularly commercial poolside bathrooms — we install Resilion Nonporous, purpose-built for safety-conscious wet environments.
Even though you can park and drive on Resilion™, we don’t install it for driveways as urethane glues are sensitive to gas or diesel spills. Resilion™ is better suited for ‘people spaces’ like pool decks and patios.
Every company says they are the best installers. How do we tell the difference?
Every installer claims to be the best. We'll let the record speak instead.
Multiple manufacturers have selected us to lead global installer training and major international projects — work spanning prestigious resorts, casinos, and amusement parks across 46 states and 4 continents. We were the only rubber installers chosen to represent the craft on the nationally syndicated DIY Network series Rock Solid. We've completed over 16 installations for Universal Studios and counting.
In addition to this industry recognition, the difference shows in the finished product. Our luxury techniques and precision finishing produce results that look fundamentally unlike standard rubber installation — because they are.
What is the price?
Most Resilion™ projects are $16-20 per square foot. Complexities to pool copings or elevated prep services are listed as separate line items in addition to the square footage cost. All in, most projects between 600 and 900 square feet are between $10,000 and $20,000. We occasionally bid projects under $10,000 (smaller patios without the complexity of a pool). Every estimate is free, on-site, and conducted without pressure.
What areas do you serve?
We serve Lee, Charlotte, and Collier counties of Florida for residential projects. We serve commercial work all over the state, country and globe.
What does your warranty cover?
Our residential warranty runs 10 years, covers both materials and labor, and is not prorated — meaning it doesn't quietly diminish over time. No professional maintenance is required to keep it valid. It covers both installation-related failures such as delamination and bond failure, and product-related defects. The exact language is included in your contract and available to review before you commit to anything.
We'd also offer this: we've been in business locally since 2005 — longer than our own warranty period. That matters, because a warranty is only as good as the company standing behind it.
A word of caution on warranties in this industry. Long warranty terms from newer companies can look attractive until you read the fine print — required frequent professional maintenance to maintain the warranty, references to manufacturer warranties the client can never actually access, labor-only coverage, or companies that won't outlive the promise they're making. We've seen a 15-year warranty in this market with a single carveout that rendered it nearly worthless: 15 years — but only 1 year in Florida.
Read the language. We'll gladly help you understand what questions to ask.
How long does Resilion™ last?
In a single-family residential setting, Resilion™ carries an expected lifespan of around 25 years in Florida's outdoor conditions.
For shared and commercial spaces, lifespan scales predictably with use. HOA pool decks typically perform for around 20 years. Even the heaviest commercial environments — theme parks and resort facilities — can expect 12 or more years in non-submerged applications.

Product
What is the difference between EPDM and TPV rubber?
EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) is widely used across industries including roofing. TPV (thermoplastic vulcanate) systems like Resilion are generally superior in colorfastness and chlorine resistance — meaningful advantages in a Florida pool environment.
That said, don't be misled by blanket claims that TPV always outperforms EPDM. We've seen well-installed EPDM outlast expensive thermoplastic systems, and the reverse. With rubber surfacing, product quality and installer expertise contribute roughly equally to the final result. The wrong installer with the right material — or the right material with the wrong installer — will both disappoint.
When you combine a high-grade system with true installation craftsmanship, you can realistically add a decade to your surface's performance. That combination is what we offer.
Does it mold?
Resilion will never add mold, mildew, or algae to your space and will not be at risk of mold penetration/attack. It’s trusted in underwater splash pads. However, in outdoor Florida, superficial surface growth can appear on virtually any material, including glass and metal. If it does appear on your Resilion, a simple bleach spray, a 15-minute wait, and a rinse or pressure wash is all it takes. No special cleaners, no professional service.
How do you work with my pool coping?
We can either completely cover your existing coping (even the upside-down cantilever, if applicable), work with your existing coping, or install after a new coping from a pool company. Please visit this page here to see these different coping options and how we achieve a beveled finish without trip hazards.
Will the thickness create a trip hazard at the edges?
No. We use a technique called key cutting to fold the material into the substrate at terminating edges, creating a flush transition with adjacent surfaces.
Is it hot underfoot?
Resilion is cooler to the touch than most outdoor surfaces in a comparable color.
Is my pool deck going to feel like a playground?

Will weeds grow through this product
Not at all, you don't have to stare at your deck thinking about maintenance cracks or weeds, you can kick back and relax.
FAQs
Maintenance and Ownership
How do I clean Resilion?
Resilion is pressure-washable and fully bleach-compatible, making maintenance straightforward. Most residential clients pressure wash one to two times per year — lighter colors may need slightly more frequent attention than darker ones. Safe options include pressure washing up to 2,800 psi and cleaning agents such as bleach, Simple Green, 30 Seconds Outdoor Cleaner, and CLR. Between washings, a hose, vacuum, or leaf blower handles everyday debris. The anti-slip texture makes mopping impractical, but you won't need it.
Because we install for amusement parks and casinos, we've encountered virtually every stain imaginable. Every client receives a four-page cleaning guide covering specific stain types including red wine, rust, and hard water deposits.
You're welcome to clean the surface yourself, contact us, or use your preferred pressure washing service.
Does Resilion require sealing or professional maintenance?
We offer a professional maintenance service we call a binder roll-coat — the same process other companies refer to as a "seal," though we avoid that term intentionally. Sealing a porous surface traps water and creates drainage problems. A binder roll-coat refreshes the surface without compromising its porosity.
For residential Resilion, we recommend this process every 6 to 8 years — typically 8 years for screened lanai installations, 6 years for very light colors or outside of cages. Importantly, this process is not required to maintain your warranty. Many projects on our reference list have performed beautifully without one yet.
By comparison, lower-quality rubber systems often require this process every 2 to 3 years just to preserve color, bond integrity, or warranty coverage.
The roll-coat service includes a thorough pressure wash and, where needed, floor buffing or extraction to further remove excess dirt prior to roll-coating.
Are there stains that don’t do well with this system?
Two types of spills are difficult for rubber -- gas/diesel and thick liquids.
Gas and diesel, if spilled and not cleaned right away, are solvents for urethane glue and can cause a soft spot. Paint, as a thick liquid, is almost impossible to fully remove once dry. Instead, if you notice a paint spill on this surface, hose it off with a lot of water to dilute it. In the worst case, if a repair is needed, repairs are beautiful with poured-in-place surfaces.
Propane does not have the same solvent effect as gasoline or diesel.

Design and Options
What colors are available?
We have over 120 colors and additionally offer custom color variations at no charge. Download our color Guide.
Can you do design inlays?
Yes — and complex designs are well within reach. Borders around pools and spas are the most popular choice, but full-deck sweeping patterns and custom inlays are far more achievable with poured-in-place rubber than with pavers or travertine. Learn more
FAQs
Process
Can Resilion be installed over my existing surface?
In most cases, yes. We install over painted concrete, cement, pavers, tile, most waterproofing membranes, Chattahoochee/river rock, composite wood, metal, and fiberglass — all while maintaining our crack-proof and peel-proof warranty. Heavily cracked or uneven surfaces are easy to resurface.
Resilion's excellent bond strength, flexibility, and porosity make this possible — its porous nature means it won't increase hydrostatic pressure between layers, eliminating a common failure point with other systems.
Most projects require minimal prep. Occasionally a surface needs grinding or coating removal, which we assess at your free on-site estimate.
How long does the installation take?
Most residential installations take between 2-4 days. You can typically walk on Resilion™ after one full day of cure.
Do you need a permit for this?
No.
Do I need to be home during the installation?
No. We only need water and electrical hookup, which we can find ourselves.
I have a complex project with a new cage and new pool refinishing. What’s the best order of operation?
Resilion™ is typically the final step in any renovation sequence. That said, it's worth speaking with us early — there are often simple specifications we can share with your pool or cage contractors upfront that can reduce prep work and save you money on the rubber installation.
What happens if it rains or weather is a factor?
Not a problem. Resilion™ is moisture-cured and can be rained on within about 30 minutes of installation. It is no issue for us to install all throughout the rainy season, and the rain will help the system cure faster.
Why is your pricing higher than other options?
We're often among the higher quotes — at least upfront.
Our pricing reflects two things: high-grade materials and craftsman labor trained to the Resilion-Certified standard through long-term apprenticeship. There's no shortcut to that level of finish, and it shows in the result.
For long-term homeowners or those who want the finest work available, the investment is straightforward. But even for those focused on total cost, we frequently deliver the best value — just not at first glance.
Many competitors price installations low and recover the margin through mandatory maintenance. Requiring a professional "seal" every 2 to 3 years to preserve your warranty keeps you as a captive client indefinitely. Our maintenance process is never required to maintain your warranty, and we only recommend it every 6 to 8 years. Over the life of the surface, that cost savings on maintenance is significant.
Do you offer financing?
Yes! Please contact us for more information.
What is the payment process?
Most projects operate on what we call our "Earn Your Trust, Then Earn Your Payment" terms: a $200 scheduling deposit to hold your date, and nothing more until the project is complete.
We structured it this way deliberately. After hearing too many post-hurricane stories of out-of-town contractors disappearing with large deposits, we decided we don’t want our clients in a precarious position whenever possible. We don't require large prepayments because we're established and well-stocked.
Exceptions apply for special-order custom colors, certain commercial polymers, and projects over 4,000 square feet, which may involve an alternate deposit schedule.
We accept nearly all payment methods including financing. Our best pricing is available for payments made by ACH, check, or cash.
Can I install Resilion myself?
No. You can purchase a wide variety of other rubber systems to install yourself. But because poured-in-place rubber is so dependent on craftsmen installers and a precise installation process, and a brand’s success hinges upon installer knowledge, Resilion™ is only available through Resilion™-Certified installers.
Can I see examples of past projects in my area?
Absolutely — and we think it's essential that you do.
At your free on-site estimate, we'll provide a list of past clients you can contact directly, visit in person, and speak with candidly. We can arrange a visit on your behalf, but most clients prefer the unchaperoned experience — straight answers from real homeowners with no one from our company in the room.
Every client on this list has explicitly agreed to be included. To respect their privacy, we don't publish the list online — it's available exclusively at your on-site estimate appointment.
How do I schedule my free estimate?
Call or text us at 239-243-7852, or self-schedule directly through our online portal. Estimates are free and no-pressure.
For commercial projects outside of Lee, Charlotte, or Collier counties, please call us directly — our online scheduler is set up for local estimates only.
