In this transformative project, three different substrates were covered: new concrete pour, old pavers, and even older 1970s grouted tile. With the forgiving nature of rubber, these disparate and difficult surfaces were covered with ease, a crack-proof warranty, and multi-decade performance.
Project specs
The client selected travertine coping with a rubber deck surround, allowing them to highlight the natural beauty of travertine at the deck’s focal point. By choosing a rubber surface for the deck, they also avoid the slipperiness, weed growth, and heat retention often associated with full travertine decks.
