Resilion rubberized surfacing with wrapped coping allowed the entire installation to proceed without demolition. The existing brick coping at the pool’s edge was surfaced directly, with the wrap applied cleanly over it without coping demolition required. Wrapped coping is where installation excellence becomes impossible to hide, and nowhere is this more apparent than on a bullnose coping profile. A true bullnose wrap requires several inches of upside-down, wet-pour application with no structural support. The material must be compacted and held in place entirely through technique. Companies that lack the skill to achieve this cleanly often resort to a “cut” method — leaving a ledge in the substrate to prop the product up — or complete the wrap but leave a lumpy, uneven finish that betrays the effort. We have never seen better wrapped coping work in the industry than our own, and we welcome the comparison. Our close-up photography exists precisely because we have nothing to hide and are exceptionally proud of this finished result. The finished deck functions as a true extension of the home. Resilion stays significantly cooler underfoot than many alternative pool deck products, and carries a subtle cushioned feel that supports barefoot living. No shuttling sandals to the door, no bracing for a hot sprint to the pool — just open the slider doors and enjoy comfortable, continuous outdoor living. The client’s color selection (turquoise and cream accents carried through both the border and the main deck) bridges warm and cool tones into a single cohesive palette. The result is bold without being jarring, and ties the surface naturally into the property’s broader tropical modern aesthetic.
